ECPAT UK Statement on the Crime and Policing Bill

ECPAT UK welcomes many of the provisions in the Crime and Policing Bill, and we urge the Government to go further in protecting children from exploitation and abuse. This includes introducing a statutory definition of child exploitation and CCE, ensuring safeguards against the wrongful criminalisation of exploited children, fully utilising existing powers to prosecute transnational offenders, and implementing a national cross-government child exploitation strategy.
