What we do Policy Transnational child exploitation ECPAT UK advocates for the rights of children overseas to be protected from sexual exploitation by UK citizens or residents, particularly in the travel and tourism industry. We draw on evidence from our research, case monitoring and findings from the ECPAT International network to campaign at the national and international level for policy, legislation and practice that enhances child protection measures and legislative frameworks, promotes international law enforcement cooperation, brings offenders to justice and secures the rights of victims to compensation and support. ECPAT UK is the UK representative of The Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism, providing training and advice to travel and tourism companies on identifying and protecting children at risk of abuse and exploitation. ECPAT UK is also a member of numerous other bodies and groups, including: International NGO (INGO) Advisory Group to the CEOP Command, National Crime Agency Advisory member of Freedom United's Board of Advisors Modern Slavery Strategy and Implementation Group (MSSIG) International Activity Sub-Group Meeting The Children's Charities Coalition on Internet Safety (CHIS) ECPAT UK also responds to a wide range of international and national consultations aimed at improving legislation, policy and practice.
