ECPAT UK Patricia Durr

Tuesday, 11th February 2020

ECPAT UK is pleased to announce the appointment of Patricia Durr as its new Chief Executive, who will lead the organisation from April 2020.

Patricia will be joining ECPAT UK from One Small Thing, an organisation driving change in the justice system by promoting a better understanding of the impact of trauma on people’s lives, and brings a wealth of experience of trauma-informed and rights-based work for social change.

With over 25 years’ experience in the social justice and child rights sector, Patricia is very well placed to lead ECPAT UK and address the critical issues facing victims of trafficking. Patricia worked with ECPAT UK when we were a coalition, so has a long standing relationship with the organisation.

Having recently celebrated our 25th anniversary, we look forward to an exciting new chapter in ECPAT UK’s history, with new leadership guiding us to achieve our aims in an evolving political landscape.

Ian Hanham, Chair of the board of trustees, said

‘We’re pleased to have Patricia on board as we enter a new phase of strategic direction for ECPAT UK at a time when our services are needed more than ever.

‘ECPAT UK is a leading voice for trafficked children in the UK. We look forward to using our platform to hold decision makers to account for children’s rights in 2020 and beyond.’
