Following the publication of ECPAT UK’s Child trafficking in the UK 2020: A snapshot report and shocking FOI data on the number of victims granted leave to stay in the UK, this free hour-long webinar will look at the challenges child victims of trafficking face in the UK’s immigration system, the immigration avenues available to children as well as why and how practitioners should support young people to secure their immigration status. In particular, we'll explore how challenges around immigration status leave children and young people in a precarious position upon turning 18.

This is a complex issue that has enormous consequences for trafficked children in the immigration system. In our webinar, we'll aim to explain the different immigration avenues and how they impact children, as well as providing best practice guidance for those supporting children through immigration processes.

Our free webinar is ideal for practitioners working with victims of trafficking, unaccompanied children seeking asylum and other children at risk of trafficking.
