Training on safeguarding children: sexual exploitation of children in tourism

ECPAT UK provides training to the travel and tourism industry on developing policy and practical measures to protect children from sexual exploitation. Training is available to hotels, tour operators, travel agents and others interested in ethical and sustainable tourism.

ECPAT UK has joined forces with ABTA - The Travel Association - and launched a new e-learning training course on child protection in the travel industry. ‘Every Child, Everywhere’ was developed by ABTA and ECPAT UK to improve travel industry professionals' understanding of child protection issues.

‘Every Child, Everywhere’ aims to ensure that travel industry staff are well equipped to deal with any problems that might arise and to help companies develop policies and procedures which will best protect children in destinations or when they are travelling.

The training course is also of relevance to students of travel and tourism and is free. It can be accessed at: www.everychildeverywhere.com.

ECPAT UK can also provide specialised face to face training to travel industry professionals and delivers presentations to students of tourism & travel. If you are interested in finding out more please contact us on info@ecpat.org.uk.
